"Your five senses are your means of communication with the material world, the links between your real Spirit-Life and the material manifestations around you, but you must sever all connection with them, when you wish to hold Spirit-communication. They will hinder, not help."
Meaning to me: Turn off all your senses when you want to communicate with God. Using them will not help you. They will only distract you from really connecting with God. God is always there to hear you. Be ready to hear Him.
"Fear not. I am evermore ready to hear than you to ask. Know that help will come."
